Inktober Day 13: Scared

Alhumdulillah for everything.
The past two days have been such an emotional roller coaster. I have been vulnerable, anxious, scared. I felt like I was in free-fall.
However, the amount of support my husband has provided, without me saying a word… the way he has shielded me when I was at my most vulnerable state, without me having to ask… speaks volumes of the wisdom and beauty behind all of Allah’s plans for our lives. How else would we come into each other’s lives? How would I have found someone who understands the rhythm of my heart? Trust Him. Thank Him.
My appreciation for not only my husband, but God, has increased tenfold.
I’m writing this here so that whenever I need a reminder (being human, I know I will) I can come and read this and remember these moments.
May Allah bless and protect everyone’s marriage and make their spouse a source of peace and serenity for them.
Marriage is hard. It takes work. Love needs to be nurtured. Don’t wake up one day and just stop trying. There will be days when you really want to. Never stop trying.
For all of those searching for their match - trust Him. He has your best interest in mind and will provide for you. And when He does, you’ll understand the beauty in His planning.
Leaving home and my family is always difficult. Nothing compares to the comfort of being here and with them. Alhumdulillah for an awesome trip. Already counting down the days until I see them again, inshaAllah.

America’s pungent corpse flowers are all mysteriously blooming at once
Botanists across the US are trying to figure out why so many titan arums – better known as corpse flowers – are blooming simultaneously around the country this year.
This is super weird, because there have only been 157 recorded blooms ever between 1889 and 2008. But this year in the US alone, at least seven flowers have bloomed.
2016 continues
2016 confirmed for the End Times.
Um… doesn’t it make more sense for all the flowers of a particular species to bloom at about the same time, for cross-pollination reasons? Wasn’t them blooming sporadically more anomalous (and probably caused by growing them in artificial conditions)??
My science friend said it was probably due to climate change??

No place like home.
Just tired of everything.
Adulting is hard.
It’s May. It’s 37 degrees outside. I’m bundled up in sweaters and socks. I can’t deal with this anymore.
